I dont remember painting much as a child, but one day when I was 16, I shut the door to my room and much to my parents surprise, painted a mural that encircled every wall in my room... In more recent years, I have painted many more murals, children’s furniture, signs, pet portraits and triptych collections.

Nothing is better than getting inspired and inspiration is all around us. Art, clothes, fields of flowers, children’s chalk drawings on the sidewalk... Being inspired is often triggered by the simple joys of life, a wet kiss from my dog, sharing a sugar toast with my son, singing a song at the top of my lungs in the car, having coffee with my friends...
creativity happens when you least expect it.

Many things have allowed me to become the artist I am today; it was the support of my parents, the cheerleading of my friends, the admiration of my son, and the beauty that surrounds me in Oregon. (Not to mention the many many art classes I have taken through the years!)

Im still unsure what the future holds for me, many times I thought I was headed down one path, when a crazy idea or specific commissioned job has picked me up and thrown me into a whole new direction with hundreds of new possible paths. One thing is certain though, I will always create, it’s in my heart and who I am.
